Christmas recipe: Granola with Orange Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Can you think of a better gift for these dates than something delicious, super healthy and prepared by ourselves?

The granola is a food formed by cereal flakes and nuts that are mixed with some type of fat and baked until they are well browned and crispy. This delicious mixture serves to accompany milk or any vegetable drink, yogurt, fruit or to eat it directly. In addition, it has the advantage that it allows us to make lots of different combinations using our favorite ingredients and achieving new versions in each baking.

On this occasion we have chosen, among other ingredients, Naturvie orange oil to enrich and give joy to the granola we bring you today. You will love its aroma and its nuances that combine perfectly with nuts, hazelnuts and cinnamon.

Your family and friends will be so surprised that they will not want any other gift for the next holidays. Top the HOMEMADE and Merry Christmas!

Christmas Granola with Orange Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr of oat flakes

  • 100 gr to hazelnuts

  • 100 gr of nuts

  • 100 gr of sultanas raisins

  • 2 tangerines

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla essence

  • 3 tablespoons of natural honey

  • 3 tablespoons of EVOO to Orange Naturvie

Preparation:

  1. Peel the tangerines and cut the skin very small.

  2. Then place them on baking paper in the preheated oven tray at 180 ° C until they are dry and crispy. Remove and reserve.

  3. Meanwhile, squeeze the juice from the tangerines and mix in a large bowl together with the slightly crushed nuts and other ingredients, except for the raisins.

  4. Put the mixture back on the vegetable paper in the preheated oven and start to toast. The process will last between 20 and 30 minutes, stirring the mixture every 5 minutes approximately and making sure that it is not toasted too much.

  5. Once the desired point has been reached, remove from the oven, add the raisins and let cool before placing them inside the jars.

  6. With some nice lids and some ties they will look great!
