Vegan cheese with fine herbs with Sweet Fig Pate

This is a real pleasure that we discovered at home not too long ago and that is already part of many of our menus: Vegan cheese.

The vegan diet, like the vegetarian and many others, has both loyal followers and convinced detractors. On the other hand, there are a lot of people like us, who like to try new things, and if they are also healthy and delicious, then better than better. It is essential to take care of ourselves through what we eat, and we must try to do so by following a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes and healthy fatty acids, such as those provided by seeds, nuts and our most precious commodity: oil made of olives. With this recipe you will see how “we killed several birds with one stone”.

So for those who do not consume dairy or try to make a moderate consumption, or simply for those who want to incorporate into their day to day healthy and delicious things, here you have this vegan cheese that can not be more good served with the sweet pate of figs of Naturvie. Bon Appetite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 gr of macadamia nuts
  • 3 tablespoons of Naturvie World in Love Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast (or brewer’s yeast)
  • The juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs varied to taste (rosemary, thyme, oregano, etc.)
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • Water
  • Sweet fig pate Naturvie

PREPARATION

Put the macadamia nuts to soak a minimum of 2 hours. After that time drain the water and place, along with the rest of ingredients, in the food processor or chopper. Grind everything until you get an unctuous and homogeneous mixture.

It may be necessary to lower the ingredients of the chopper walls several times until the desired result is achieved. Serve next to the sweet pate of Naturvie figs on some crackers, some biscuits or whatever else you like.
