The heat has reached us suddenly and without warning. The name of the recipe speaks for itself. Can you think of a better way to warm up enjoying a healthy sweet?

First of all, keep in mind the difference between a healthy and a commercial ice cream. For today’s recipe we are going to need very few ingredients and zero sugar. However, commercial ice creams contain long lists of ingredients. In addition, they contain indomitable quantities of sugar (sweeteners in the case of “low in”, “light”, “0% sugars”, “for diabetics”, etc.) and it is not necessary to repeat that the less sugar we consume, the better health we guarantee , true?. This is not to mention the terrible quality of the origin of its fat or the infinite list of colorants, flavorings, emulsifiers, preservatives and, in short, additives with its most diverse finery.

It is possible to consume ice cream in a healthy way. Take note:

ELABORATION

Clean the strawberries, cut them into slices and add them to the glass of the blender. On the other hand, add yogurt. It is important that they are whole yogurts to get a creamier texture in the ice-cream. For people with lactose intolerance or vegan, a good option is to replace the yogurt of animal origin, with a vegetable yogurt.

Add cinnamon and ginger to taste, beat the mixture until you get a liquid texture and add in the ice cream mold.

Once frozen, the ice-cream melts 85% dark chocolate with a two tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to Naturvie Orange to obtain the chocolate coating.

Remove the poles from the molds and before the chocolate cools, submerge each pole to soak the chocolate.

Tip 1: Strawberry season has come to an end, so I always recommend getting strawberries during the months that are available and freezing them to make strawberry ice-cream during the summer. However, do not panic! Today we can find frozen strawberries in large supermarkets, or adapt to the fruits of summer, which are not few.

Tip 2: Make with different molds is a basic to make different types of ice-cream. It is increasingly easy to get a pack of easy-to-mold silicone molds.
